My review of "The Roommate"

Recently Mike and I switched from Netflix to Blockbuster delivery of DVDs, Netflix was being all weird about their prices and I couldn't find the Blu-Ray section (we got a Blu-ray player in our wedding bounty), so I made the switch. I added "The Roommate" to our queue of movies, I did this because it kinda looked like crap and it was something to watch. Plus, Mike has the hots for Leighton Meester and he also likes movies that are made for 16 yr old girls. I say this because he has watched Mean Girls at least 25 times. We have some extra time for TV and movies because the Red Sox are not in the World Series and I am not staying up to watch a baseball game at 9pm if I don't care who is playing. There was no football on last night because it was a Tuesday, and we had already watched Boardwalk Empire. So...onto the review: okay, crazy roommate's name was Rebecca, the bad guy from the first Twilight was in it so that was fun, he's super dreamy. Minka Kelly is the normal roommate and she is like really pretty! There was one part of the movie that I didn't watch which involved a kitten in a dryer, no thank you.
So the movie was what I thought it would be, kind of crap. However, they totally could have had a better ending scene. Spoiler alert ahead! Just in case you thought the movie would take a drastic turn from the predictable, it don't. Minka Kelly's character ends up killing Leighton Meester's character with box cutter. Umm... COME ON! There is a whole fight scene and a gun (without bullets apparently) and an almost fall out the window, but a box cutter. The blade is like 1/2 an inch! We see crazy use the box cutter earlier in the film when she cuts herself to look like she was attacked. Ummm 1/2 into the shoulder blade won't kill you...duh. So crap move made crappier because they want us to believe that a little blade if stabbed into someones back muscles will kill someone almost instantly.
