The disappearing grad school paper

Tragedy struck the Brennan household last night...my final research paper for my class was all done, I had spent 4.5 hours completing it, not stopping. I didn't even change into comfy pants until I was writing the summary! I saved it, closed it, poured a glass of red wine to celebrate, went back to submit it...GONE! Vanished into the hard drive or onto the interweb and I am not a computer idiot, I can find stuff and know all the tricks, people come to me to ask what to do when they have a computer issue. I searched for it for 2 hours, I cried, I kicked the desk, I prayed, I drank my wine and then I yelled at Mike because he asked me if I hit "Save As". I didn't. But, I hit save at least 15 times during the writing process. I told my boss the same story this morning and he asked me the same thing, I threatened to throw my red shoe at his head, twice.
I was able to complete it today though, had a few moments at work where I could write a paragraph or two. Most of what I wanted to write was in my head but between working it took me about 5 hours this time. But, its done, submitted! I have 3 whole days off until the next course starts...oh my!
Another fun note...I had 3 cavities filled earlier this week, which brings my recent total to 6 cavities filled and 1 crown, I hope my dentist's kids have a great summer in Paris where my insurance dollars and co-pays will no doubt be sending them. I am also a "resister" of Novocaine so they always have to give me more then normal so when I left my lip was all numb and when I smiled I looked kind of like Mary Jo Buttafuoco. I had to go to CVS to pick up a prescription and I was not super excited to see the mean lady was working the pharmacy desk...she is always pissed at me or the world, whatever, sneak a Valium and be done with it. I went up to the counter and as she gave me my script she looked up and I attempted to smile and damn it...she was NICE to me, probably because she thought I had a stroke but score 1 for me!
